Go4Venture Headline Transactions Index by Deal Number as of February 2013
The Headline Index captures the deals prominently featured in major publications and newsfeeds read by VC professionals. As a result, it can be compiled on a near real-time basis and aims to offer VCs and entrepreneurs a snapshot of the level of VC funding activity in Europe on a monthly basis. Started initially in September 2002, the Headline Index now has five years worth of data, and has proven a good proxy for established industry surveys.
